Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Introduced in 2001, the Dot NAME universal TLD is the only one planned for personal websites only. These domain names can consist of personal or fictitious names, nicknames and/or other designations people are popular by. At first, only 3rd-level registrations were permitted, so if you wanted to purchase john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already taken third-level domain names remained operational.

Through our company, you can secure your dot NAME domain for a time interval between 1 and 10 years. You will have the chance to change the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to edit Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an existing domain to our firm if you get its EPP transfer authorization code from the present domain registrar and we will renew it after the transfer has been done. There are no specific restrictions on who can obtain a dot NAME domain, but in order to keep the objective behind its establishment alive, the dot NAME Registry may check who the owner is and if there is no connection between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
